Veicoli a guida autonoma e mobilità sostenibile:

Unimore ha ospitato e coordinato un meeting

         nazionale nell’ambito del PNRR

Self-driving vehicles and sustainable mobility: Unimore hosted and coordinated a national meeting
                  as part of the NRRP

In Modena, as part of the activities of the MOST - National Centre for Sustainable Mobility, a Spoke 6 (Con-
nected and Autonomous Vehicles) progress meeting was organised, coordinated by Unimore, which was
attended by universities, research centres and major national companies to identify a common strategy for
moving from research to enterprise with a view to supply chain and extended collaboration in the Autono-
mous Driving field. It was also an opportunity to share with all partners and local authorities the potential
of the MASA (Modena Automotive Smart Area) and the Autodromo di Marzaglia as Living Labs and pivotal
elements of an innovative technological hub for the development of autonomous driving vehicles and related
enabling technologies. The meeting laid the foundations for effective cooperation between local and regional
authorities and the private sector to create advanced testing facilities, and to establish an innovation ecosys-
tem of excellence capable of fostering innovation through the systemic utilisation of research results by the
entire production system. MOST’s activities in the coming decades will be to drastically reduce emissions
by achieving the highest possible level of sustainability on a global level. There will be a strengthening of the
development chain in research and the economy, with enhanced technology transfer mechanisms to enable
an effective green transition, the achievement of carbon neutrality by 2050 and a digital transformation for
an efficient and inclusive mobility service. The aim is to promote innovative “sustainable mobility” with new
lightweight solutions, new propulsion systems, hydrogen and electric fuels, and to make the mobility system
safer with digital products and processes. The objectives also include increasing the resilience and effi-
ciency of mobility systems, with solutions and services for public and private transport, creating personalised
and accessible mobility that enables new social inclusion, and strengthening the supply chain, national
                  competitiveness and international visibility
