A year full of counselling initiatives for the Mantua office

Unimore has organised many activities for students’ counselling in the Mantua area for 2024, such as the
‘open days’, which are an important opportunity for high school students to discover the new context of their
studies. Open days were organised for the Computer Engineering and Green and Sustainable Chemistry
degree programmes, during which participants received general information on the curriculum, watched in-
teractive demos and listened to direct students’ feedback. The “Orientarsi al Futuro” initiative is an advisory
service with activities focusing on the careers of the future, with a particular attention to issues related to
the digital and green transition, in which the topics covered in the Unimore programmes active on the Man-
tua campus find perfect application. A new feature of 2024 was the open day held on 11 July at the Univer-
mantova Foundation headquarters, with the participation of all universities with active programmes based
on the Mantua campus: the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, the Milan Polytechnic, the University
of Brescia and the Scuola Superiore Mediatori Linguistici. Another new initiative for the Mantua campus is
the creation of a Career Day, to be held in October 2024, in which students and graduates from all universi-
ties with programmes related to the UniverMantova Foundation will be able to participate. The companies
involved will provide students and graduates with internship and job placement opportunities.
