The UNIMORE Experience at the Mantua Campus: An Academic and Territorial Success
In 2018, UNIMORE signed a historic agreement with the UniverMantova Foundation, and activated the
Degree Programme in Computer Engineering towards Industry 4.0. This step marked the beginning of
an important presence of Unimore in the city of Mantua, destined to consolidate and grow in the follow-
ing years. The decision to expand academic activities in Mantua was not by chance: the city, with its deep
historical and cultural roots, is the capital of a dynamic province rich in entrepreneurial activities, industrial
settlements and agricultural traditions. UNIMORE’s main achievements in Mantua include: the consolidation
of the Degree Programme in Computer Engineering, the development of the Degree Programme in Linguis-
tic Mediation, the establishment of the Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Green and Sustainable Chemistry,
and the creation of a Computer Engineering Laboratory for Industry 4.0**: This laboratory represents a point
of excellence for research and technological development in the industrial sector. UNIMORE’s presence in
Mantua represents a virtuous model of integration between university and territory, capable of combining
academic excellence and local development.
