UNIMORE and FAI, together for culture and art!

An experience of inclusion and integration by the Modena FAI Delegation, Bridge among Cultures Group

Unimore and FAI, Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano ETS, have signed an agreement to promote initiatives for
the enhancement of the local historical, artistic and environmental heritage and with the aim of introducing
students and PhD students of the University to the activities of FAI in the Reggio Emilia and Modena Delega-
tions. Unimore shares the values and mission of the FAI in the spirit of Article 9 of the Italian Constitution
“The Republic protects the landscape and the historical and artistic heritage of the Nation”. FAI’s values,
mission and initiatives are accomplished thanks to the network of thousands of volunteers organised in the
various provincial Delegations. With the support of Unimore, the Modena-based FAI Bridge among Cultures
group organised the course for artistic and cultural mediators. FAI Bridge among Cultures is a project that
promotes dialogue and interaction among people of different cultures and backgrounds. The programme
includes five lessons accompanied by five guided tours of the main cultural sites in Modena for a journey
into the cultural and environmental history of the local area. The lessons become an opportunity for cultural
exchange where participants are called upon to share and recount their countries of origin, in an atmo-
sphere of constant dialogue.
