Unimore enhances Modena’s archives among art, photography and industry
The project ‘Archivi e Territori. Indagare, raccontare esporre’ (Archives and Territories. Investigate, narrate,
exhibit) by Unimore provides a series of events exploring the archives of the city of Modena, highlight-
ing their role in territorial identity and memory conservation. From 18 January to 12 March, the initiative
includes guided tours and meetings with experts, dealing with topics such as urban transformation, artistic
and industrial archives, and historical documentation. The aim is to raise awareness of the importance of
archives as instruments of knowledge and cultural exchange. The project is coordinated by the Department
of Engineering ‘Enzo Ferrari’ of Unimore, in collaboration with Fondazione AGO Modena Fabbriche Culturali
and the Municipality of Modena, and is based on research and public engagement activities. The initiative
also includes in-depth studies on design, automotive mechanics and the relationship between archive and
artistic institution.
