Dall’Università all’impresa: imprenditorialità
accademica e trasferimento tecnologico
come driver dell’Università imprenditoriale
From University to enterprise: academic entrepreneurship and technology transfer as drivers of the
entrepreneurial university
Rethinking the university as a research platform capable of supporting the development of entrepreneurial
projects, this is the objective of the strategic initiative entitled “From University to enterprise: academic
entrepreneurship and technology transfer as drivers of the entrepreneurial university”, promoted by Prof.
Bernardo Balboni of the Marco Biagi Department of Economics, together with Prof. Francesco Gherardini
and Prof. Francesco Guerra of the Enzo Ferrari Department of Engineering, Prof. Mauro Mandrioli of the
Department of Life Sciences, and Prof. Valeria Venturelli of the Marco Biagi Department of Economics. The
development of skills and entrepreneurial capabilities of academic enterprises originating from universities
has been a key strategic objective for the EU for many years. At the same time, the NRRP initiatives relating
to Mission 4.2 explicitly aim to support processes for innovation and technology transfer. It is, therefore, a
particularly relevant field of research because it allows us to delve into the processes of creation and growth
of innovative enterprises. The research group can also be an important support to phases of conception and
development of ideas leading to the creation of junior spin-offs among “student entrepreneurs” and tradi-
tional academics, promoted by researchers and professors.
