The Game Science Research Center participates in PLAY - The Game Festival

Unimore is the first territorial section (www.gioco.unimore.it/) of the inter-university multidisciplinary GAME
Science Research Center, the first research centre in Italy that deals with game in all its forms and whose aim
is to promote, support and extend research in the Game Science.
In 2019, with the support of Regione Emilia Romagna, Unimore and the Municipality of Modena created a
memorandum of understanding “Modena, the capital of good gaming” to enhance all forms of healthy gaming
and fight all forms of ludopathy.
The GAME Science Research Center will be present with a dedicated space at the 2021 edition of “PLAY - The
Game Festival”, which will be held from 3 to 5 September 2021 at ModenaFiere (https://2021.play-modena.
it/ ).
The Festival will also host two important conferences: the Hexagonal Table, focused on the theme of revenge,
and La Storia in Gioco, organised in collaboration with the Italian Association of Public History.
