Care and communication: Unimore’s project for “patient trainers”

The University Library System coordinates the libraries of Unimore. Over the years, library services have in-
creasingly turned to digital resources, support for academic research and the third mission. There are seven
university libraries, six in Modena (Economics, Legal, Humanities, Medical, Scientific Interdepartmental and
Engineering Libraries) and an Interdepartmental library in Reggio Emilia. As a point of reference for students
and lecturers in the relevant departments, the Unimore libraries play a documentation and information sup-
port role, but they are also aimed at the entire university community and citizens in general. The Unimore
libraries’websites detail their services, resources and initiatives. The website sba.unimore.it (with the English
version libraries.unimore.it) is an information portal on all SBA libraries, offices, services and initiatives;
the website pop.unimore.it is dedicated to SBA services supporting scientific communication and research
evaluation, coordinated by the Bibliometric Office. The oneclick.unimore.it site allows integrated and simulta-
neous searching, from a single interface, of the University’s document collections. Fondiantichi.unimore.it is
dedicated to ancient library collections. Bibliomore.co.uk is the new BiblioMore online catalogue.
