Networking for equal opportunities: the activity of the Single Guarantee Committee

In its action for equal opportunities, Unimore makes use of a wide and heterogeneous network of associa-
tions, institutions and committees, including, in particular, the Single Guarantee Committee (CUG) for equal
opportunities, for the enhancement of the well-being of workers, and against discrimination. It is a joint body
consisting of representatives of the administration (teaching and technical-administrative staff), members
designated by each trade union, and student representatives. The Single Guarantee Committee has proac-
tive and advisory tasks aimed at protecting, enhancing and promoting the dignity and rights of the person
in the context of study, work and research activities, to promote gender equality and to fight any forms of
moral or psychological violence in the workplace, and any possible discrimination. It plays a crucial role in
the coordination of various actions included in the GEP, works in synergy with various bodies and subjects
of the university, in an important activity of internal liaison, and consults with other external bodies that help
promote the conditions of equality and equal opportunities, in collaboration with the Councillors of equality of
the reference territories.
